Short Trips, Low Kilometres and Modern Diesels
A lot of Ocean Grove driving is short and local: down to the shops, out to the beach, over to Barwon Heads. That pattern is hard on a modern diesel. A DPF needs a sustained run at temperature to regenerate properly, and a vehicle that rarely gets one will accumulate soot until a warning light appears — usually at the least convenient moment.

My diesel only does short trips. Does that matter?
It does. Diesel particulate filters need a sustained run at temperature to regenerate, and short local trips often do not provide one. If a warning light has appeared, or your vehicle rarely leaves town, mention it when you book and we will check the filter and emission system condition rather than waiting for a fault.
